Toggle Tracking

This control starts and stops the time log tracking for the open document

Control Procedure Description

• Left-click the control to toggle tracking on and off.

Export Log

This control allows you to export time log data based on a date range.

Control Procedure Description

• Left-click the control to select the date range for export (leave all populated for entire time log export).
• Once the start date and end date have been chosen select the folder for the file to be exported to.

Calculate Date Range

This control allows you to get a real time calculation of the time worked on file between two dates.

Control Procedure Description

• Left-click the control to open the start date and end date selection dialogs.
• Once the dates have been selected a message box will appear with the calculated time between dates.

Minimum Open Time Interval

This control allows you to set the minimum time a file is open before tracking begins

Control Procedure Description

• Toggle the arrows up or down to increase or decrease the minimum open time.
• The setting is designed to prevent tracking of file that are only opened for a quick review without working.

Idle Time Threshold

This control allows you to suspend the time tracking if the file has set without being interacted with for the specified minutes.

Control Procedure Description

• Toggle the arrows up or down to increase or decrease the idle time threshold.
• The setting is designed to prevent tracking of file that are sitting without activity.

This control is a global setting to track the time on all MS Office files.

Activate Key

This control activates the license entered into the "Enter Trial or Full License Key" text box.

Control Procedure Description

• After you have received your trial or full license via email enter it into the Enter License Key text box.
• Once the license is entered Left-click the control to activate the license.
• To activate the product via license key you must be connected to the internet.

Purchase License

This control opens the web page to purchase Back Up Xplorer online

Control Procedure Description

• Left-click the control to open the purchase page for BackUp Xplorer.
• From the purchase page at www.xplorersoftware.com purchase a license. The license will then be emailed to you for activation.

Activate File

This control activates the program via an offline file.

Control Procedure Description

• Left-click the control to activate the file that is listed in the "Enter Retrieved Offline Activation File Path" text box.
• This can only be done after an offline file has been generated, uploaded, and the matching file has been retrieved and saved to the hard drive.
• 1. Enter your purchased license key.
• 2. Left-click generate activation file.
• 3. Select the file from the desktop and load it into the web portal after selecting upload file or visiting site.
• 4. Left-click "Select Activation File" button to select the activation file you have retrieved via email after uploading your file to the portal.
• 5. Once the file path is selected Left-click "Activate File". This will complete your offline activation.

Generate Activation File

This control creates an activation file for upload.

Control Procedure Description

• After you have purchased your license and retrieved it from email paste it into the "Enter Trial Or Full License Key" text box.
• Left-click the control to generate the file for upload (the file will be placed on your desktop).
• Once the file has been generated move it to a computer that has internet connection and select the "Upload File" button to open the file load portal and move the file to the portal.

Upload File

This control opens our file upload web portal where your activation file is to be dropped.

Control Procedure Description

• From a computer with an internet connection Left-click the control to open the file upload web portal. Or visit https://saas.licensespring.com/offline/ in a web browser.
• Drop the activation file into the web portal file upload pane. An activation file will then be emailed to you.

Clear Locally Stored File Key

This control deletes the stored file activation key.

• Left-click the control to delete the stored activation key.
• This is done if the program needs reactivated for some reason.
